Jeff Shinensky, (PMP)®

Chief Investment Officer

With over 10 years of executive-level experience, Jeff wears many hats—chiefly overseeing the management company, new investments, accounting, and financing. While officially holding the title of Chief Investment Officer, he’s really more of the “Chief Problem Solver” ensuring that everything runs smoothly and strategically.

A proud graduate of Johns Hopkins University, Jeff brings a unique mix of financial expertise, operational leadership, and a well-timed sense of humor to the table. He’s passionate about driving change and making things happen—whether it’s streamlining processes, identifying new opportunities, or turning financial challenges into growth opportunities.

With over a decade at ORLO, Jeff and his team have excelled in the strategic management of multifamily properties, enhancing revenue growth and streamlining operations. Known for fostering strategic alliances, they’ve consistently bolstered operational excellence and profitability. Adept in financial analysis and policy development, ORLO’s approach under Jeff’s leadership has been to maximize efficiency and value, always prioritizing an outstanding resident experience.

A strong advocate for affordable housing, Jeff is committed to providing quality, accessible living options for a wide range of communities. Additionally, under his leadership, ORLO has made significant strides in promoting sustainability, including implementing large rooftop solar energy projects that help reduce environmental impact while driving long-term cost savings.

Their success is rooted in an unwavering commitment to effective risk management and strategic partnerships, ensuring resilience in the ever-evolving investment landscape.

When Jeff isn’t working on improving the bottom line or managing complex deals, you can find him applying the same level of energy and creativity to finding the best trail to hike or strategizing on how to make Monday mornings a little less… well, Monday-ish.
